The world was filled with
pleasant things that
were always close at hand,
In happy homes
with shady trees on
a little bit of land.
We surrounded ourselves
with memories and
humble bits of treasure,
That will always bring
more happiness and joy
than we can measure.
Now the pace of life
is hectic and the
days race by so fast,
We need to pause and
refresh ourselves with
the gentleness of the past.
